7:30 PM - 8:30 PM

In the summer of 1940 over 2000 male refugees from Nazism, most of them German and Austrian Jews, were shipped to Canada from the UK as "dangerous enemy aliens". They were placed in camps spread from New Brunswick to northern Ontario, however most of the camps were located in Quebec. This is the story of how the Canadian authorities and the Canadian Jewish community responded to their presence and how the interned refugees dealt with their unique predicament.
