Join Rabbi Boris in an exploration of the history, philosophy, and contemporary relevance of Liberal Judaism. We will explore the creation of denominations, including a specific focus on Reconstructionism and how it relates to the evolution of Jewish tradition and to other modern movements. In addition to gaining a greater understanding of our own community values, you will also gain a “tool chest“ to understand your own identity more holistically, and defend liberal Judaism as needed to others. The class will include discussion, text study, multimedia and of course Rabbi Boris’ creative and high energy teaching!
