We’ve all used the Métro, sometimes daily, but do we know how unusual it is?  This series will look at how the Montréal Métro came to be.  We will explore some of the architect designed buildings and have a chance to look at the rich art and sculpture in many of the stations.
 

Introduction to Kundalini Yoga With Jodi Lackman

Kundalini (which means awareness) considers itself the mother of all yogas and seeks to connect us to our true selves. You can do this if you've never done yoga before or if you have done yoga forever. No particular level of physical fitness is required, as long as you can breathe and move your body. So come breathe, move, meditate & spend some quality time with yourself!! You will have fun & feel awesome!! Bring a yoga mat, a bottle of water, a cushion & a blanket. Sat nam ("true self")!!

This class is an expanded introduction to the core concepts and traditions of contemporary Jewish life. This season we will focus on prayer and lifecycle, including an exploration of how these traditions have evolved in liberal communities. While we will try to cover all of the class topics, the learning will be expansive, and class discussions may lead us wonderfully in different directions. The class is required for those in the conversion process, and is also a favourite among the curious and those interested in a general review of Jewish tradition.
